AWS Cloud Platform Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced AWS Cloud Platform Engineer to take ownership of a complex, multi‑cloud environment and drive its continuous improvement. You will join a fast‑growing SaaS business, working closely with engineering, architecture and technical teams to shape the future of our cloud platform.

Key responsibilities

• Own and enhance a large AWS environment, ensuring security, scalability and cost‑efficiency.
• Design and implement secure, well‑architected cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure and on‑premise systems.
• Lead infrastructure projects from assessment through migration and implementation.
• Improve governance, reliability and cost optimisation, and introduce automation and IaC.
• Collaborate with software engineering teams to develop DevOps practices.

Required profile

• Strong commercial experience with AWS infrastructure.
• Hands‑on experience with Docker and AWS ECS.
• Proven track record of modernising existing cloud environments.
• Good understanding of hybrid cloud architectures.
• Ability to work autonomously and communicate effectively.

What we offer

• Salary £65,000‑£80,000 per year.
• Fully remote role with occasional travel to Portsmouth (≈ once per month).
