AWS DevOps Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a hands‑on AWS DevOps Engineer to join a fast‑growing technology‑led business. The role is hybrid, with one day a week in the London office, and offers the chance to design, build and optimise cloud infrastructure for critical applications and data platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Build and enhance AWS infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
• Support and improve the infrastructure behind data and ETL platforms.
• Increase platform reliability, observability and performance.
• Identify automation opportunities and drive cost optimisation.
• Contribute to cloud security best practices and governance.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues and support SRE initiatives.
• Collaborate with globally distributed engineering teams across Europe and India.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on experience with AWS services.
• Proven experience using Terraform for Infrastructure as Code.
• Good understanding of networking concepts such as VPCs, routing and autoscaling.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Datadog).
• Solid knowledge of cloud security principles and AWS best practices.
• Ability to build, improve and automate infrastructure rather than only support it.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
