AWS DevOps Engineer – Remote (UK)

About the role

We are seeking an AWS DevOps Engineer with at least three years of experience to support and evolve our cloud platform. The role is home‑based in the UK and works closely with Platform Engineering, Architecture, Security, and Product teams to improve reliability, automation, and governance of our SaaS environments.

Key responsibilities

• Operate, maintain and optimise AWS cloud environments.
• Manage infrastructure reliability, scalability and availability.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure‑as‑Code solutions using Terraform or similar tools.
• Automate cloud provisioning, deployments and operational workflows.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub, TeamCity, Jenkins).
• Support observability, monitoring and alerting solutions.
• Participate in incident management, troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis.
• Implement cloud security controls and governance standards.
• Assist with vulnerability remediation and compliance activities.
• Document operational procedures, runbooks and contribute to platform modernisation.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in DevOps, AWS Cloud Engineering or Infrastructure Engineering.
• Hands‑on experience with AWS services and Terraform.
• Proven ability to build and support CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong Linux/Unix administration background.
• Experience with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes a plus).
• Familiarity with monitoring, observability and scripting (Bash, Python).
• Understanding of networking fundamentals and cloud security principles.
