AWS Infrastructure & Application Support Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an AWS Infrastructure & Application Support Engineer to join the Support & Operations team of a leading technology organisation. You will provide L2/L3 support for cloud‑based applications and AWS infrastructure, ensuring performance, stability and reliability while working closely with engineering teams and clients. The role includes an on‑call rota.

Key responsibilities

• Provide L2/L3 support for AWS applications and infrastructure.
• Own and resolve incidents end‑to‑end.
• Troubleshoot across application, infrastructure and data layers.
• Monitor systems and respond to alerts.
• Support deployments and production changes.
• Collaborate with internal teams, clients and third parties.
• Follow ITIL processes for Incident, Problem and Change management.

Required profile

• Strong experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM).
• Background in supporting production cloud systems.
• Proven troubleshooting and monitoring abilities.
• Experience analysing logs and data.
• Knowledge of ITIL processes.
• Excellent communication and customer focus.
• Problem‑solving mindset and proactive team player.

Required skills

• Terraform or CloudFormation.
• CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices.
• Docker and Kubernetes.
• Monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana and ELK.
