Azure Data Engineer (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for an Azure Data Engineer to join a global leader in chemical cleaning and environmental solutions. The role is fully remote within the UK and focuses on designing, building and optimising scalable data platforms on Azure to support our client’s data‑driven strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Python.
• Implement and manage data storage solutions with Azure Data Lake and Synapse Analytics.
• Support integration and migration of critical data sources across the organisation.
• Write, optimise and maintain SQL queries for data transformation and processing.
• Monitor data quality, performance and reliability, troubleshooting issues as they arise.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering data engineering solutions in cloud environments.
• Strong hands‑on expertise with Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake and Azure Synapse Analytics.
• Solid understanding of ETL processes and data integration concepts.
• Advanced SQL skills and experience with Python or PySpark for data processing.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, remote setting.
