Azure Databricks Engineer – Contract (6+ months)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Azure Databricks Engineer to join a high‑impact project for an international client. The role is initially a six‑month contract with a strong likelihood of extension into the new year, and it is fully remote.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain data pipelines on Azure Databricks using PySpark.
• Implement Medallion architecture and dimensional data models (Kimball/Inmon).
• Collaborate with data architects to ensure optimal data modelling and integration with Azure Synapse, Data Factory and Azure SQL.
• Write production‑grade Python and C# code, applying TDD and unit testing practices.
• Support multi‑cloud solutions and integrate Azure Function Apps and Logic Apps where required.

Required profile

• Proven experience with Azure Databricks and PySpark.
• Strong knowledge of Medallion architecture and dimensional modelling (Kimball/Inmon).
• Hands‑on experience with Azure data engineering services: Synapse, Data Factory, Azure SQL.
• Solid Python scripting skills for PySpark and C# development.
• Familiarity with test‑driven development and unit testing.
