Backend Engineer

About the role
We are looking for a Backend Engineer to design, develop and maintain robust server‑side solutions. You will work on building RESTful APIs, shaping database structures and ensuring our systems scale efficiently.
Key responsibilities
- Design, implement and document RESTful APIs for internal and external consumption.
- Develop and optimise database schemas and queries using MongoDB.
- Collaborate with front‑end and product teams to deliver end‑to‑end features.
- Monitor, troubleshoot and improve the performance and reliability of backend services.
- Participate in code reviews and adopt best practices for clean, maintainable code.
Required profile
- Strong understanding of server‑side architecture and API design.
- Experience building scalable systems in a cloud environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross‑functional team.
