About the role
The Band 2 Healthcare Assistant (HCA) will work on the Acute Medical Unit (AMU) delivering essential patient care. This entry‑level position offers a supportive environment and a clear pathway into a range of NHS careers.
Key responsibilities
- Washing, dressing and making patients comfortable.
- Serving meals and assisting with feeding.
- Helping patients mobilise safely around the ward.
- Making beds and maintaining a clean bedside environment.

Required profile
