Band 3 Administrator – Ambulatory Assessment Unit

About the role

We are recruiting two full‑time Band 3 Administrators to support the Ambulatory Assessment Unit (AAU) within the Acute Medicine and Rehabilitation Directorate at the John Radcliffe Hospital. The role involves providing day‑to‑day administrative assistance to clinical staff, patients and visitors in a fast‑moving, multidisciplinary environment.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate appointments for AAU doctors, nurses and advisors, ensuring timely scheduling.
• Process and track management referrals, handling all required documentation.
• Provide comprehensive administrative support, including report preparation, correspondence handling and record keeping.
• Maintain and update departmental databases and systems with accurate, secure data.
• Serve as primary liaison for internal and external stakeholders, responding to enquiries promptly.
• Organise, file and manage departmental documents to ensure easy accessibility.
• Collaborate closely with clinical and administrative teams to sustain smooth daily operations.
• Perform general office duties to keep the work environment organised and functional.
