Band 3 Healthcare Assistant – Pre-Operative Assessment

About the role

Join the Pre-Operative Assessment (POA) team as a Band 3 Healthcare Assistant and help patients prepare for surgery. Working alongside Registered Nurses, you will ensure the pre‑assessment pathway runs smoothly and safely.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and update patient documentation using the EPIC system.
• Conduct health screening assessments for surgical patients.
• Identify additional assessments required in line with POA guidelines.
• Provide front‑facing clinical care with excellent customer service to patients, relatives, and carers.
• Support the Registered Nurse in delivering safe, efficient, and stress‑free patient journeys.
