Band 5 Occupational Therapist – Female Acute Ward

About the role

Join Cygnet Health Care as a Band 5 Occupational Therapist on the female acute ward (Kahlo) at our Woking Lodge site. You will deliver assessment and treatment for patients, working within a supportive multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and treat occupational needs of patients on the female acute ward under senior OT supervision.
• Take supervisory responsibility for junior staff when required.
• Lead specific projects and contribute to service development.
• Support student education and mentorship within the OT team.
• Collaborate closely with psychologists, psychiatrists, nurses, mental health support workers and administrative staff.

Required profile

• Qualified Occupational Therapist registered with the HCPC.
• Experience or strong interest in adult mental health services.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, multidisciplinary environment.
• Leadership potential and willingness to supervise or mentor colleagues.
• Commitment to evidence‑based practice and continuous professional development.
