Band 5 Physiotherapist – Community Rehabilitation Team

About the role

The Glenrothes Community Rehabilitation Team is seeking a motivated Band 5 Physiotherapist to deliver high‑quality, person‑centred care to adults with a range of medical, surgical, neurological or frailty‑related conditions. This position is ideal for a newly qualified physiotherapist or an early‑career Band 5 looking to develop core clinical skills in a supportive, multidisciplinary environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive physiotherapy assessments and design individualized treatment plans.
• Provide hands‑on therapy, exercise prescription and functional mobility training to support recovery.
• Collaborate with occupational therapists, assistant practitioners and rehabilitation support workers to create cohesive patient‑centred rehabilitation programmes.
• Facilitate safe discharges, arrange appropriate referrals and communicate effectively with community services.
• Contribute to service development, quality improvement initiatives and clinical audits.
• Support the learning and development of students and support workers where required.

Required profile

• HCPC registration (or pending registration for newly qualified applicants).
• Strong communication, organisational and clinical reasoning abilities.
• Compassionate, adaptable approach with a commitment to person‑centred care.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Enthusiasm for continuous professional development.
