Band 5 Speech and Language Therapist

About the role

We are seeking a Band 5 Speech and Language Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team in Derby Court, Trowbridge. You will provide assessment, therapy and support to pre‑school and school‑aged children with a variety of communication difficulties, working closely with families and local professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of pre‑school and school‑aged children, prioritising assessments and interventions.
• Conduct formal and informal assessments to diagnose communication disorders.
• Develop and deliver individual care plans and target sheets for children, families and educational staff.
• Produce detailed reports for education, health and care plans, summarising clinical findings and recommendations.
• Follow service clinical pathways to ensure ongoing, evidence‑based care.

Required profile

• Enthusiastic and motivated professional with a passion for improving children’s communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating within a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to professional development and high‑quality service delivery.

Required skills

• Experience creating and implementing care plans.
• Qualified in speech and language therapy.
