Band 5 Staff Nurse – Health Visiting (Fixed‑Term)

About the role

We are seeking motivated Band 5 Staff Nurses to join our Health Visiting Teams on a two‑year fixed‑term contract. The role involves working with children and families in the community to improve health and social outcomes, supporting the Healthy Child Programme.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver health visiting services to children and families across Trafford.
• Collaborate with multi‑agency partners to achieve positive health and social outcomes.
• Participate in the Healthy Child Programme and community public health initiatives.
• Undertake a year‑long Specialist Community Public Health Nursing (SCPHN) training pathway.
• Provide documentation and reporting using the Hive Electronic Patient Record system.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse with a degree, eligible for Band 5 placement.
• Willingness to travel independently across the locality and access a suitable vehicle.
• Positive attitude, flexibility and strong communication skills.
• Ability to work both within a core team and at other locations as needed.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the Hive Electronic Patient Record system.
• Basic computer literacy.
