About the role

Join the friendly team on Harty Ward at Sheppey Community Hospital as a Band 5 Ward Nurse. This part‑time position (22.5 hours per week) offers a supportive environment where you can help patients recover, rehabilitate and regain independence.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care on a busy community hospital ward.
• Support patients through rehabilitation, encouraging independence and preparing them for discharge.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, high‑quality, holistic care.
• Maintain accurate patient records and adhere to NHS policies and procedures.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse qualified to work in the UK.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to delivering patient‑centred care in a community setting.

Required skills

• Patient assessment and care planning.
• Knowledge of NHS Agenda for Change Band 5 responsibilities.
• Familiarity with rehabilitation and discharge processes.
