Band 6 Children's Speech & Language Therapist – Locum (Croydon)

About the role

We are seeking a Band 6 Children’s Speech and Language Therapist for a one‑month locum assignment in Croydon. The role starts immediately and offers a full‑time schedule of 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct initial speech and language assessments for early‑years children.
• Complete Education, Health and Care Needs Assessments (EHCNAs) and develop personalised intervention plans.
• Deliver therapeutic interventions to support communication development.
• Provide assessment and intervention services for school‑age children within school settings.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care.

Required profile

• Qualified Speech and Language Therapist with experience in paediatric services.
• Demonstrated ability to work with both early‑years and school‑age children.
• Familiarity with EHCNA processes and school‑based therapy.

Required skills

• Speech and language assessment.
• EHCNA completion.
• Therapeutic intervention planning and delivery.
