Band 6 Diabetes Specialist Podiatrist – NHS Agency Role

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Band 6 Diabetes Specialist Podiatrist to join a busy NHS diabetes podiatry team in Slough. This part‑time, agency‑based position offers the chance to deliver high‑quality foot care to patients at risk of diabetic complications.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose and manage patients with diabetic foot complications.
• Provide specialist podiatry treatment in line with national diabetes guidelines.
• Develop treatment plans to reduce ulceration and lower‑limb risk.
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary diabetes team.
• Educate patients on foot care and diabetes self‑management.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation.
• Participate in clinical audits and service‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• HCPC‑registered podiatrist.
• Previous NHS experience as a Diabetes Specialist Podiatrist.
• Experience managing high‑risk diabetic foot patients.
• Strong communication and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain).
