Band 6 General Manager – NHS Operational Lead

About the role

Ready to take the next step in NHS operational management? Vivid Healthcare is seeking an experienced Band 6 General Manager to lead day‑to‑day clinical operations for a busy NHS team in Salisbury. The role is agency‑based, full‑time and offers a hybrid working pattern with at least two days on site each week.

Key responsibilities

• Support the operational management of NHS services and ensure delivery against performance targets.
• Lead service improvement and transformation initiatives.
• Coordinate workforce planning, resource allocation and budget monitoring.
• Produce reports, analyse service data and present findings to senior stakeholders.
• Collaborate with clinical, corporate and administrative teams to maintain compliance with NHS policies and governance.

Required profile

• Previous NHS operational management experience, preferably at Band 6 level or above.
• Strong leadership, organisational and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Proven track record of managing operational performance and service delivery.
• Ability to work on multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
