Band 6/7 Clinical Pharmacist – Mental Health (South London)

About the role

We are looking for a Clinical Pharmacist to join our mental health pharmacy team at South London and the Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust. The role starts at Band 6 with a clear pathway to Band 7 on achieving defined objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Provide pharmaceutical care to in‑patients and community patients across our mental health services.
• Work in one of three main dispensary sites and support the on‑call and late‑duty rotas.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary mental health teams and travel to various hospital and community sites as required.
• Undertake short courses in mental health pharmacy under the supervision of a dedicated mentor.
• Contribute to quality improvement, research and independent prescribing initiatives where appropriate.

Required profile

• Newly qualified pharmacists or pharmacists seeking to start a career in mental health pharmacy.
• Current Band 7 pharmacists may also apply.
• Willingness to work on‑call rotas and travel between sites.
• Commitment to professional development and progression within the NHS.
