Band 7 Children’s Occupational Therapist (Permanent)

About the role

We are seeking a permanent Band 7 Children’s Occupational Therapist to join our Community Children’s Therapy Team in West Essex, covering Harlow and surrounding areas. You will work within an award‑winning service that partners with Barnardo’s to deliver integrated care for children and families.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments for children across universal, targeted and specialist levels.
• Design and deliver therapeutic interventions aimed at improving health outcomes.
• Lead service provision, supporting the development of junior staff and therapy assistants.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of occupational therapists, physiotherapists and other professionals.
• Contribute to service improvement initiatives and quality assurance processes.

Required profile

• Qualified Occupational Therapist, registered with the HCPC.
• Experience working with children and families in a health‑care setting.
• Commitment to high clinical and quality standards.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
