Band 7 Family Nurse – Family Nurse Partnership

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Band 7 Family Nurse to join our Family Nurse Partnership (FNP) programme in Bath. The role involves delivering an evidence‑based, intensive home‑visiting service to young first‑time mothers, supporting antenatal health, child development and parental self‑sufficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Provide preventive home visits and the Healthy Child Programme to vulnerable pregnant women and their families.
• Develop therapeutic relationships and work intensively with complex family situations to achieve programme outcomes.
• Undertake specialist training to enhance generalist and specialist clinical skills.
• Participate in weekly supervision sessions for professional development and wellbeing.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to service improvement.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse (NMC) at Band 7 level.
• Commitment to working with disadvantaged young families.
• Ability to manage demanding caseloads and deliver high‑quality care.
• Willingness to engage in ongoing training and supervision.
