About the role

As a Band 7 Speech and Language Therapist you will join the community team at Gravesham Community Hospital in Gravesend, taking a leadership role to shape Speech and Language Therapy provision across North Kent. You will work as a joint Team Lead, delivering high‑quality care to patients with communication and swallowing difficulties while supporting a blended model of face‑to‑face and remote services.

Key responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership as joint Team Lead for the community Speech and Language Therapy service across North Kent.
• Deliver high‑quality assessment and therapy for patients with communication and swallowing difficulties.
• Coordinate day‑to‑day service delivery, ensuring safe, effective and responsive care.
• Support a blended model of care, combining face‑to‑face and remote sessions to meet patient and service needs.

Required profile

• Band 7 Speech and Language Therapist position within the NHS.
• Experience in community‑based speech and language therapy.
• Ability to lead and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

Required skills

• Speech and language assessment.
• Swallowing (dysphagia) assessment and therapy.
• Clinical leadership.
