Bank Activities Assistant – Care Home

About the role

This casual, part‑time position offers flexible working within a Barchester care home. As a Bank Activities Assistant you will help create a stimulating environment that supports residents' wellbeing, independence and social engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver imaginative, fun activities tailored to residents' interests and abilities.
• Build relationships with residents and their families to develop personalised activity programmes.
• Organise and lead activities both inside the home and in the local community.
• Provide cover for staff absences, such as annual leave or sick leave, as required.

Required profile

• Warm, empathetic and personable with a genuine interest in residents' lives.
• Strong organisational skills and a proactive, driven mindset.
• Enthusiastic, creative and able to inspire participation from residents and staff.
• Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
