Bank Activities Assistant – Flexible Care Home Role

About the role
This part‑time, flexible position supports residents in a Barchester care home by planning and delivering engaging activities. As a Bank Activities Assistant you will cover shifts when needed, helping to create a vibrant, supportive environment.
Key responsibilities
- Design and run a variety of activities that suit residents' interests, abilities and wellbeing goals.
- Develop personalised activity programmes after getting to know residents and their families.
- Provide cover for staff absences, annual leave or sick leave on an as‑required basis.
- Encourage resident participation both within the home and in the local community.
- Maintain records of activity attendance and feedback.
Required profile
- Warm, empathetic and personable with a genuine interest in residents' wellbeing.
- Strong organisational skills and a proactive, “get‑things‑done” mindset.
- Enthusiastic, creative and able to inspire both residents and staff.
- Willingness to learn and develop through provided training.
