Bank Care and Support Assistant

About the role

Join Sanctuary Group’s vibrant disability service at Shaftesbury Court in Trowbridge. As a Bank Care and Support Assistant you will help people with learning and physical disabilities live independently and participate fully in their community.

Key responsibilities

• Support customers with daily routines such as waking, washing and dressing.
• Provide personalised care, including sensitive personal care and safe medication management.
• Assist individuals to follow their care and support plans as a key worker.
• Facilitate community access – shops, cafés, appointments and social activities.
• Promote a positive culture, reduce social isolation and encourage independence.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and carry out risk assessments.

Required profile

• Kind, caring and compassionate nature.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible and adaptable to changing customer needs.
• Strong organisational skills.
• NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or willingness to work towards it.

Required skills

• Proficient use of Microsoft Office and similar IT tools.
