About the role

As a Bank Care Assistant in a Barchester care home, you will help residents enjoy each day by providing high‑quality personal care and companionship. The role is flexible, covering shifts when needed, and offers a rewarding environment where no two days are the same.

Key responsibilities

• Assist residents with food, drink and daily living activities.
• Follow individual care plans and ensure residents’ comfort and safety.
• Provide one‑to‑one companionship and emotional support.
• Cover shifts for annual leave, sick leave or other staffing gaps.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment within the care home.

Required profile

• Previous experience caring for older people.
• Compassionate, warm‑hearted and able to build trusting relationships.
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive, can‑do attitude.
• Flexibility to work varied hours and days as required.
