Bank Catering Assistant – Flexible Hours

About the role

We are looking for a Bank Catering Assistant to join the kitchen team at Cedar Court, Seaham. The role offers flexible, as‑needed hours with no late‑night or split‑shift patterns, allowing you to support residents with nutritious, well‑presented meals in a calm care‑home environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the catering team with basic food preparation and portioning.
• Present and serve meals to residents, ensuring high presentation standards.
• Maintain strict food‑hygiene and safety practices at all times.
• Keep kitchen and dining areas clean, safe and welcoming.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance residents’ daily dining experience.

Required profile

• A caring, enthusiastic attitude with genuine interest in older people.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Understanding of safe food handling; willingness to obtain a food‑hygiene certificate if not already held.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts as required.

Required skills
