Bank Clinical Research Nurse – Mobile Research Units

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Bank Clinical Research Nurse to join our mobile research team covering the North West. The role involves delivering high‑quality clinical research through EMS mobile units, conducting participant visits, supporting recruitment and ensuring data integrity across a range of obesity and lifestyle intervention studies.

Key responsibilities

• Perform study‑specific clinical procedures and participant visits in line with protocols, GCP and EMS SOPs.
• Carry out nursing assessments including vital signs, ECGs, phlebotomy and other required procedures.
• Support recruitment, screening, enrolment and retention of participants in collaboration with site teams.
• Complete case report forms, source documentation and trial logs accurately and on time.
• Maintain safe and efficient operation of the mobile unit, handling clinical samples and study materials.
• Provide clear information to participants, obtain informed consent and offer ongoing support.
• Escalate clinical or operational issues to the Senior Research Nurse or Clinical Research & Delivery Manager.
• Participate in team meetings, training and continuous improvement initiatives while adhering to confidentiality and data protection standards.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse with an active NMC registration.
• Previous experience in clinical research or trial delivery.
• Competence in standard nursing procedures within research or outpatient settings.
• Knowledge of ICH‑GCP and the clinical research process.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and organisational abilities.
• Full UK residency, a valid UK driving licence and access to a personal vehicle.

Required skills

• ECG performance and interpretation.
• Phlebotomy.
• Use of electronic data capture systems and clinical databases.
• Understanding of ICH‑GCP guidelines.
