Bank Healthcare Assistant – Flexible Shifts

About the role

Join the Ann House team in Kendal as a Bank Healthcare Assistant, providing flexible, zero‑hour contract shifts for people with learning disabilities and autism. You will work 12.5‑hour shifts across weekdays, nights and weekends, choosing the hours that suit your lifestyle.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver person‑centred care and support to residents with learning disabilities and autism.
• Assist with daily living activities, promote independence and ensure safety.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to maintain a supportive environment.
• Document care activities accurately and follow service policies.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Healthcare Assistant, Support Worker or Care Worker in the UK.
• Positive attitude, compassion, resilience and vigilance.
• Ability to work in a challenging environment and adapt to varying shift patterns.

Required skills

• Experience in supporting individuals with learning disabilities and autism.
• Knowledge of health and safety, infection control and safeguarding procedures.
