Bank Housekeeping Assistant – Hospital (Marple)

About the role

This is a casual, part‑time bank position offering flexible working at a Barchester independent mental health hospital in Marple. You will help create a clean, comfortable and safe environment for patients, visitors and staff, covering leave and other short‑term staffing needs.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of housekeeping and cleaning tasks throughout the hospital.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and safety in patient areas, corridors and communal spaces.
  • Ensure all cleaning equipment and supplies are used correctly and stored safely.
  • Report any maintenance or safety issues to the appropriate team.

Required profile

  • A caring, personable nature with a genuine desire to support patients and staff.
  • Reliability and flexibility to work varied hours and days as needed.
  • Strong attention to detail to maintain a tidy and welcoming environment.
