Bank Kitchen Assistant – Care Home (Flexible)

About the role
This part‑time, bank position offers flexible working within a Barchester care home. You will help deliver first‑class food and hospitality, supporting residents’ wellbeing through nutritious meals.
Key responsibilities
- Provide cover for planned or unplanned staff absences.
- Prepare and cook meals according to dietary requirements.
- Maintain a clean, safe and hygienic kitchen environment.
- Assist with setting up dining areas and serving residents.
- Collaborate with kitchen team to ensure timely service.
Required profile
- Reliable, considerate and caring attitude.
- Flexible availability to work varied hours and days.
- Ability to follow food preparation and safety standards.
- Experience in a commercial or care‑home kitchen is advantageous but not essential.
Required skills
- Ability to follow food preparation guidelines and hygiene protocols.
