Bank Kitchen Assistant – Care Home

About the role

This casual, part‑time position offers flexible working within a Barchester care home kitchen. You will help deliver first‑class food and hospitality, covering planned or unplanned staff absences and ensuring residents enjoy nutritious, well‑prepared meals.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals in line with dietary and hygiene standards.
• Provide cover for kitchen staff during annual leave, sick leave or unexpected gaps.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised kitchen environment.
• Support colleagues to create a pleasant dining experience for residents.
• Interact with residents to enhance their hospitality experience where appropriate.

Required profile

• Reliable, considerate and caring attitude.
• Flexible approach to work patterns and hours.
• No formal qualifications required; experience in a commercial or care‑home kitchen is advantageous.
