About the role

Join the caring team at Barons Park Nursing and Residential Home in Kirby Muxloe, providing high‑quality meals and support to 46 residents with diverse needs. This bank position offers flexible shift patterns across a 7‑day week, allowing you to make a real difference in a supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare meals, snacks and beverages in line with residents' dietary requirements.
• Conduct quality checks on prepared food and ensure proper storage.
• Assist with food service to deliver a dignified dining experience.
• Maintain accurate stock records and order supplies following company policy and food‑safety regulations.
• Keep the kitchen hygienic and tidy, supporting deep‑cleaning tasks as needed.

Required profile

• Genuine caring nature with a desire to support vulnerable residents.
• Patience, understanding and respect for individual abilities.
• Experience as a cook; a Food Hygiene or Catering qualification is advantageous but not mandatory.

Required skills

• Food hygiene knowledge.
• Catering qualification (preferred).
• Stock management and record‑keeping.
