Bank Laundry Assistant (Care Home)

About the role
As a Bank Laundry Assistant in a Barchester care home, you will ensure residents have clean clothing and bedding, contributing to a comfortable and homely environment. This flexible, on‑site role provides cover for annual or sick leave and offers a pathway to further opportunities within the care setting.
Key responsibilities
- Sort, wash, dry and iron residents' clothing and linen.
- Maintain laundry equipment and report any faults.
- Ensure all items are stored and returned to the correct locations.
- Support the overall cleanliness and presentation standards of the home.
Required profile
- Personable and reliable with a strong commitment to resident wellbeing.
- Ability to work flexibly, covering shifts as needed.
- Attention to detail and a proactive attitude.
Required skills
- Ability to operate laundry machinery safely.
- Basic knowledge of washing, drying and ironing processes.
- Good organisational skills to manage multiple loads.
