Bank Nurse (No Sponsorship Available)

About the role

Headington Care Home, a purpose-built nursing home in Oxfordshire offering 24-hour care and support for older adults, is looking for a bank nurse. The home's mission is to enhance the lives of its residents through high-quality care and services. The position is open to registered nurses with a valid NMC pin number; sponsorship is not available.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve a high standard of care and lead the care team to deliver outcomes for residents.
• Maintain effective verbal and written communication, reporting accurately on residents and informing the senior care team of day-to-day changes.
• Manage wounds and ensure care procedures follow policy.
• Order, administer and record medicines according to policy and statutory requirements.
• Provide personal care such as washing, dressing and toileting, and give physical, emotional and spiritual comfort.
• Carry out staff supervision and appraisals for the team or unit allocated.
• Implement agreed changes to routine and procedures, assess clients and complete the duty rota as needed.
• Carry out internal quality audits, take part in staff training and development, and assist the manager with budget work (mainly deputy manager duties).

Required profile

• Registered nurse with a valid NMC pin number.
• Ability to work flexibly as a bank nurse.
