Bank Pharmacist Band 6/7 – Outpatient Pharmacy

About the role

The Bank Pharmacist (Band 6/7) will work within the outpatient pharmacy at Royal Free Hospital, delivering high‑quality pharmacy services to patients and supporting the pharmacy team. This role acts as the Responsible Pharmacist, ensuring safe and effective medication use while contributing to service development.

Key responsibilities

• Act as Responsible Pharmacist for the outpatient pharmacy.
• Support the Senior Pharmacist and the wider pharmacy team in daily operations.
• Develop and implement pharmacy policies and services.
• Manage financial, physical and information resources.
• Lead and supervise pharmacy staff, fostering a high‑performing environment.
• Oversee research, development and educational activities.
• Ensure compliance with Trust standards, equality, diversity and no‑smoking policies.

Required profile

• Registered pharmacist with experience in hospital outpatient settings.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage resources.
• Commitment to delivering compassionate, patient‑centred care.
• Understanding of NHS policies, equality and diversity principles.
