Bank Pharmacist – Outpatient (Band 6/7)

About the role

The Royal Free Hospital is seeking a Bank Pharmacist to join its outpatient pharmacy team. This position will act as the Responsible Pharmacist, supporting the Senior Pharmacist and contributing to the development and delivery of high‑quality pharmacy services for out‑patients.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the Responsible Pharmacist for outpatient pharmacy services.
• Support the Senior Pharmacist and the wider pharmacy team in daily operations.
• Develop and implement pharmacy policies and service improvements.
• Manage financial, physical, and information resources effectively.
• Lead, supervise, and develop pharmacy staff.
• Oversee research, development, and educational activities within the department.
• Ensure compliance with professional and regulatory standards.
• Undertake additional duties as assigned by management.

Required profile

• Registered Pharmacist with experience in an outpatient or hospital setting.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong commitment to delivering respectful and compassionate patient care.
• Knowledge of NHS policies, pharmacy regulations, and service development.
• Willingness to work within the Royal Free Hospital outpatient pharmacy environment.
