Bank Registered Mental Health Nurse – Neuropsychiatric Care

About the role

Join Cygnet Brunel in Bristol as a Bank Registered Mental Health Nurse, delivering specialist neuropsychiatric treatment, care and rehabilitation for men with complex needs. You will work within a dedicated pathway that supports recovery and independence.

Key responsibilities

• Produce high‑quality written reports based on nursing assessments and observations.
• Collaborate with the management team to develop, audit and improve the service.
• Attend all training and engage in CPD to maintain and enhance nursing knowledge.
• Ensure individual care plans are complete and maintained in line with NMC guidelines, involving residents, relatives and other healthcare professionals.
• Administer prescribed medicines following Healthcare Commission procedures.

Required profile

• Open, compassionate, honest and resilient.
• Newly qualified or experienced RMN with a current PIN number.
• Ability to maintain documentation and undertake audits.
• Well‑informed of the Mental Health Act 1983 and current nursing practices.
• Capable of deputising in a clinical lead role and focused on patient recovery.

Required skills

• Medication administration.
• Knowledge of the Mental Health Act 1983.
• Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
