Bank Speech & Language Therapist – Flexible Shifts

About the role

Join HCRG Care Group as a Bank Speech & Language Therapist (Band 5) working within a preschool team. You will assess, diagnose and deliver evidence‑based interventions for children with speech, language and communication needs (SLCN) across early years settings.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out high‑quality school‑based and preschool assessments as part of a multi‑disciplinary team.
• Deliver tailored SLT interventions for children in nurseries, Family Hubs and family homes.
• Produce reports for Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and other documentation.
• Collaborate with parents, carers and professionals to develop individual care plans.
• Supervise SLT assistants and students, and provide training for carers and staff.
• Participate in multi‑agency meetings, safeguarding conferences and service development initiatives.

Required profile

• Recognised Speech and Language Therapy degree or equivalent (Post‑graduate Diploma or MSc) leading to HCPC registration.
• Experience or training in autism spectrum disorder strategies such as PECS, SCERTS or ADOS.
• Ability to work flexibly across Surrey, with a hybrid office/home arrangement.
