Bank Speech & Language Therapist

About the role

Join HCRG Care Group as a Bank Speech & Language Therapist, delivering high‑quality assessments and interventions to preschool‑aged children with speech, language and communication needs. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will support children in early years settings such as nurseries, family hubs and homes, while also empowering parents and carers through training and advice.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out school‑based and preschool assessments as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Deliver evidence‑based SLT interventions to children with SLCN.
• Collaborate with parents, carers and professionals to develop tailored care plans.
• Produce reports for Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
• Supervise SLT assistants and students.
• Provide training for carers and professionals on SLCN.
• Participate in multi‑agency meetings and safeguarding conferences.
• Support service development and meet performance targets.

Required profile

• Recognised Speech & Language Therapy degree or equivalent with HCPC registration.
• Experience or training in autism spectrum disorder strategies such as PECS, SCERTS, ADOS.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong communication skills with children, families and professionals.
• Commitment to delivering evidence‑based practice.
