Bank Support Worker – Flexible Adult Care Role

About the role

This permanent bank position offers flexible, part‑time work supporting adults with learning disabilities, physical disabilities or mental ill health in their own homes or during short‑break stays.

Key responsibilities

• Assist individuals with personal hygiene, eating, drinking and medication.
• Maintain a clean and safe home environment.
• Support money management, budgeting and attending health appointments.
• Help with mobility, shopping trips and daily errands.
• Provide companionship and encourage participation in social and leisure activities.
• Deliver short‑break support, giving regular carers a respite.

Required profile

• Physically able to use moving and handling equipment as required.
• Willingness to learn and complete mandatory Care Certificate training.
• Commitment to work regular shifts, including days, nights, weekends and bank holidays.
• No prior experience or qualifications are necessary; full induction will be provided.

• Permanent contract with a salary of £27,118 progressing to £29,831 per year (£14.06–£15.46 per hour).
• Weekend enhancement and a sleep‑in allowance of £43.12 per night.
