Bank Support Worker

About the role
Southdown is seeking compassionate individuals to join its bank‑shift team as Support Workers at Magdalene Court, Midhurst. You will help adults with learning disabilities live full, happy lives by supporting daily activities and community engagement.
Key responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care, cleaning, cooking and other everyday tasks.
- Encourage participation in community outings such as beach walks, cinema visits, shopping and café trips.
- Support clients in using communal areas and promote independence within their self‑contained flats.
- Complete required training in health and social care, moving and handling, Positive Behaviour Support and safeguarding.
- Maintain accurate records and follow health, safety and risk‑management protocols.
Required profile
- Patient, empathetic mindset with a genuine desire to help.
- Willingness to undergo DBS check and complete mandatory training.
- Comfortable providing intimate and personal care when needed.
- Live within reasonable commuting distance or be willing to relocate.
Required skills
- No specific technical skills required.

- Hourly rate of £13.45 plus holiday pay of £1.62 (total £15.07 per hour).
