Banking Infrastructure & Platform Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on Banking Infrastructure & Platform Engineer to ensure the reliability and performance of our core banking applications. You will be responsible for the operational support, administration, and technical management of mission‑critical banking platforms in a fast‑paced financial environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day operational support for core banking platforms and business‑critical applications.
• Monitor platform availability, transaction processing, and system performance, including intraday and end‑of‑day (EOD) banking processes.
• Investigate and resolve batch failures, processing delays, and performance issues across application, middleware, database, and infrastructure layers.
• Administer Linux (RHEL), Oracle Linux and IBM AIX environments, managing accounts, permissions, service accounts and scheduled jobs.
• Support system patching, upgrades, maintenance, and housekeeping activities.
• Develop and maintain shell scripts to automate operational and batch processing tasks.
• Provide first‑ and second‑line support for Oracle and SQL Server databases, monitoring performance, storage utilisation, backups and overall health.
• Administer Oracle WebLogic environments, support application deployments, platform upgrades and environment maintenance.
• Perform root‑cause analysis and implement permanent fixes for recurring issues.
• Maintain technical documentation, runbooks and standard operating procedures.
• Collaborate with technology vendors and third‑party partners to resolve technical issues and participate in disaster‑recovery exercises.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience supporting Oracle Flexcube, Oracle ERP or similar enterprise banking platforms.
• Hands‑on experience with Linux (RHEL) and/or IBM AIX administration.
• Proven experience supporting Oracle and SQL Server databases, including monitoring, backup, recovery and performance tuning.
• Experience with Oracle WebLogic middleware environments.
• Strong understanding of production support, batch processing and end‑of‑day banking operations.
