Bar Assistant – Zero Hours

About the role

We are looking for enthusiastic Bar Assistants to join our Defence catering team on a zero‑hours, casual basis. You will help create beautifully crafted drinks and deliver exceptional service to staff and visitors in secure environments.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare perfectly blended drinks and serve high‑quality food.
• Maintain an efficient bar service with a focus on speed and quality.
• Keep the bar area clean and well‑organized.
• Know all beverages on the menu, how to prepare and present them.
• Receive and process cash and credit‑card payments.
• Work as a proactive team player and communicate effectively.
• Represent the Defence brand positively.
• Follow food handling, hygiene and health‑and‑safety standards.

Required profile

• Excellent communicator who builds relationships easily.
• Warm, well‑presented and customer‑focused.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work under pressure.
• Motivated to deliver high levels of service and take initiative.
