Basketball Coach

About the role

GLL is seeking an enthusiastic Basketball Coach to deliver high‑quality sessions at Clissold Leisure Centre in Hackney. You will work within the Junior Brands division, teaching children and adults of all abilities in a safe, fun environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver a structured basketball programme focused on progression.
• Provide first‑class coaching to improve participants' skills and confidence.
• Maintain equipment, ensure health and safety standards, and respond to customer queries.
• Promote the centre’s services and uphold a welcoming, professional image.
• Track pupil progress and adapt sessions to meet diverse needs.

Required profile

• Positive, can‑do attitude with strong customer‑service focus.
• Team player who can work well with colleagues and the public.
• Passion for sport and ability to inspire pupils of all ages.

Required skills

• Basketball coaching qualification (Level 2 or higher).
• First Aid certification.
