Behaviour Mentor (Part‑time, Tameside)

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join our team in Tameside from September. In this part‑time position you will work directly with pupils who need additional behavioural, emotional, and learning support, helping them engage positively with their education.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support to children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
• Implement behaviour‑management strategies agreed with teachers and support staff.
• Encourage positive relationships and active participation in classroom activities.
• Monitor progress and report observations to the teaching team.
• Collaborate with school staff to adapt learning environments as needed.

Required profile

• Minimum six months’ experience working with children in the UK.
• Experience supporting children with SEN or behavioural challenges is essential.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building abilities.
• Patient, resilient, proactive and passionate about helping children reach their potential.
• Right to work in the UK and willingness to obtain an Enhanced DBS certificate.
