Behaviour Mentor – Primary School (KS1/KS2) – Haringey

About the role

The school is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to support KS1 and KS2 pupils with challenging behaviour, emotional regulation and engagement in learning. You will work on a full‑time, temporary basis, providing one‑to‑one and small‑group support to help children develop positive coping strategies and confidence.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver targeted 1:1 and small‑group interventions for pupils with behavioural needs.
• Implement and monitor individual behaviour support plans in collaboration with teachers and the SEN team.
• Promote emotional regulation techniques and positive classroom behaviour.
• Track progress and adjust strategies to support each pupil’s development.
• Contribute to a nurturing, inclusive school environment.

Required profile

• Previous experience supporting children with challenging behaviour (e.g., ADHD, SEMH, ASD).
• Patient, resilient, enthusiastic and able to manage difficult situations.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with staff.
• Reliable transport to Haringey and ability to start ASAP.
