About the role
The Behaviour Mentor will work one‑to‑one with KS2 pupils who have behavioural challenges, helping them overcome barriers to learning. This full‑time, long‑term position starts in September at a friendly primary school in Haringey.
Key responsibilities
- Provide individualized behavioural support to KS2 students on a daily basis.
- Develop and implement tailored strategies that promote positive choices and emotional regulation.
- Collaborate with teachers, SEN staff, and school leaders to maintain a calm, structured learning environment.
- Monitor progress and adjust interventions as needed.
Required profile
- Previous experience supporting children with challenging or complex behaviour.
- Patience, resilience and a compassionate approach.
- Ability to travel to Haringey and work on‑site.
Required skills
- Behaviour support planning.
- Relationship‑building with pupils.
- Effective communication with staff and families.
