Behaviour Mentor – Primary School (KS2) – Islington

About the role

We are seeking a resilient and compassionate Behaviour Mentor to join a friendly primary school in Islington. You will work directly with KS2 pupils who need additional support to regulate behaviour, manage emotions, and engage fully in learning.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver 1:1 and small‑group interventions focused on coping strategies and social skills.
• Support pupils in behaviour regulation, emotional wellbeing, and classroom participation.
• Collaborate with teaching staff to develop and update personalised support plans.
• Monitor and record pupil progress against agreed targets.
• Maintain clear boundaries and expectations while building positive relationships.

Required profile

• Previous experience supporting children with challenging behaviour or emotional needs.
• Ability to work with pupils displaying ADHD, SEMH or other SEN profiles.
• Patient, proactive, and able to commute to Islington.
• Strong interpersonal skills to work alongside staff and families.
