About the role
This Behaviour Mentor position supports pupils in a SEND/PRU primary school in Slough, working one‑to‑one or in small groups to help children with Autism, SEMH, ADHD and other learning difficulties achieve their potential.
Key responsibilities
- Provide targeted support to pupils on an individual or small‑group basis.
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to minimise classroom disruption.
- Give constructive feedback to teachers and parents regarding pupil progress.
- Assist pupils with a range of SEND needs, including Autism, SEMH, ADHD, severe learning difficulties and other disabilities.
Required profile
- Outgoing, mentoring manner with a passion for helping children.
- Enthusiastic, proactive and able to think on your feet in a dynamic special‑school environment.
- Strong ability to build rapport and relationships with pupils.
